Our commitment
Gaia Bull LLC, doing business as GovSpotlight ("GovSpotlight," "we," "us," or "our"), wants everyone to be able to use our website and platform, including people with disabilities. We work to give all users equal access to the same information and features, and we treat accessibility as an ongoing part of how we design, build and test the product.
This statement covers the public website at govspotlight.com and the signed-in GovSpotlight dashboard (together, the "Service").
Standard we follow
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). WCAG 2.1 AA is the benchmark commonly used to assess website accessibility under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and it includes every WCAG 2.0 AA requirement that Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act applies to federal information and communication technology.
Our current status is partially conformant: most of the Service meets the standard, but some parts do not yet fully conform. The known gaps are listed below, and we are working to close them. Our most recent review, in October 2026, combined automated WCAG testing of the public site and dashboard in both color themes with manual keyboard testing.
What we do to support accessibility
• Use semantic HTML, page landmarks and a logical heading structure so screen readers and other assistive technologies can navigate pages.
• Support keyboard navigation for interactive controls, with visible focus indicators and a "Skip to main content" link on every page. Dialogs keep keyboard focus inside them, close with the Escape key and return focus to where you were.
• Provide text labels for form fields, buttons and icon-only controls.
• Offer light and dark color themes, with text colors chosen to meet WCAG AA contrast ratios in both.
• Respect your operating system's "reduce motion" setting by turning off animations.
• Let content reflow and remain usable when zoomed up to 200% and on small screens.
• Provide text alternatives for charts, in the form of data tables that screen readers can read.
• Check code with automated accessibility linting during development, and review new features for accessibility before release.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, you may encounter the following:
• Charts and data visualizations. Charts have screen-reader data tables, but tooltips and other visual details may not be fully conveyed. Contact us if you need data from a chart in another format.
• Agency documents. Solicitation attachments, PDFs and other files are published by federal agencies, not by GovSpotlight. We pass them through as provided and cannot guarantee that they are accessible. If you need an accessible version, the issuing contracting office is the best source, and we are glad to help you identify it.
• Third-party services. Payments and billing are handled by Stripe, and some features rely on other third-party providers. These are covered by their providers' own accessibility practices, which we do not control.
• Complex data tables. Some dense tables in the dashboard may be harder to navigate with a screen reader. On small screens and at high zoom, wide tables and the pipeline board scroll horizontally within their own area.
• Screen reader testing. We have not yet completed a full review with every major screen reader, so you may find issues our testing did not catch. Please tell us if you do.
Compatibility
The Service is designed to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari) and with common assistive technologies, including screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS and VoiceOver, screen magnifiers, and voice-control software. Older browsers and assistive technologies may not be fully supported.
Feedback and assistance
If you run into an accessibility barrier, need information in an alternative format, or need help completing a task on the Service, please contact us:
• Email: support@govspotlight.com (use the subject line "Accessibility")
• Contact form: govspotlight.com/contact
• Mail: Gaia Bull LLC, d/b/a GovSpotlight, 30 N Gould St, Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States
To help us respond, please tell us the page address (URL), what you were trying to do, the problem you encountered, and the browser and any assistive technology you were using. We will work with you to provide a fix, a workaround or the information you need, in a format that works for you.
Ongoing improvement
We review this statement as the Service changes and at least once a year. This statement was last reviewed on October 20, 2026.
